Item Details
19th Century (c.1830) William IV period Prie Dieu chair with rosewood frame.
The fabric was taken from an archive document and with its classic chinoiserie appeal block printed pheasants flowers and leaves adorn this stylised Sanderson fabric.
Produced by Sanderson under licence from The National Trust (Enterprises) Limited (a subsidiary of The National Trust for Places of Historic Interest or Natural Beauty, England and Wales.
The original tapestry has been stored internally for provenance and historic value.
I believe the frame is solid rosewood in areas such as the legs and a thick rosewood veneer for the sides. Signs of old woodworm underneath. Nice original casters.
