Art Deco Modernist Cocktail Cabinet in Figured Walnut & Macassar Ebony, c.1930 A superb English Art Deco cocktail cabinet dating from around 1930, beautifully veneered in richly figured walnut with striking Macassar ebony crossbanding. The cabinet showcases the bold geometric styling of the period, with dramatic book-matched walnut veneers forming an impressive chevron pattern across the doors, top and side panels. The upper section opens to reveal a mirrored cocktail compartment with a pull-down mirrored serving shelf, original curved glass rack and serving shelf, creating an elegant space for preparing and serving drinks. Beneath, the double-door cupboard retains its fitted interior with bottle and decanter compartments, making the cabinet as practical as it is decorative. Raised on distinctive stepped supports with matching Macassar ebony detailing and retaining its original chrome handles, this is a wonderfully architectural piece that would make a striking focal point in both period and contemporary interiors. The cabinet has been professionally restored and is presented in excellent overall condition, displaying the exceptional quality of its veneers and craftsmanship. It retains its original working lock and key to the lower cupboard.
