Item Details
A fine Victorian style Coalbrookdale umbrella stand, cast in iron with elegant architectural detailing typical of the period. The design features turned column supports, pierced balustrade panels and decorative interlaced motifs, all topped with a shaped pedimented crest. The original drip tray remains intact at the base, making it both practical and decorative.
The stand has been professionally shot-blasted back to its original cast iron surface and subsequently coated in boiled linseed oil, giving it a rich, soft sheen while offering protection and preserving the authenticity of the material. The finish enhances the crispness of the casting and allows the quality of the workmanship to really stand out.
A striking and functional piece, ideal for a period hallway, boot room or porch, and equally suited to traditional or eclectic interiors.
