Item Details
A superb 19th Century Anglo-Japanese cast iron fire insert, attributed to the celebrated designer Thomas Jeckyll (1827–1881). This finely detailed piece beautifully reflects Jeckyll’s signature blend of Japanese inspired motifs and Aesthetic Movement geometry.
The panel is richly cast with intricate blossom and patterned decoration, creating a refined sense of depth and texture. Retaining a clean, even blacked finish, it presents both as a functional fireplace insert and as a striking decorative feature in its own right.
An excellent example of the Anglo-Japanese design style that defined late Victorian taste and craftsmanship.
